| APPC accomplished more than 93% of the PP plant construction |

 Total achievement of APPC in Jubail reached 93%, 70% of which construction works. APPC Chairman, Khalifa ibn Abdul Lateef Al-Mulhim said" Work progress exceed plans, the Company completed 7 million work hours free of injuries" and pointed that the Company was keen to solicit national cadres and qualifications so that Saudization reached 25%.
The Company held its second normal general assembly at its head office with the attendance of Board chairman and number of Board members and Ministry of Commerce representative. Al-Mulhim reviewed company's most important achievements which include two factories , one for propylene with annual 455 000 tons production capacity which will feed the poly propylene factory that will produce annually 450 000 tons. The meeting also approved Board report expiring on 31 Dec. 2006, financial statements, and auditor's report for fiscal year expiring on 31 Dec. 2006, and appointed external auditor for fiscal year 2007, approved the rules of executive committee members selection, and acquitted Board members for the fiscal year expiring on 31 Dec. 2006. APPC was formed as a closed stock company to establish an industrial complex to produce poly propylene using propane gas which will be supplied as an input by Aramco. The project is located on a 650 000 sq.mt. land and considered a major petrochemical project in the Kingdom and worldwide containing recent technologies and international specifications. |
